An hour before midnight the dwarven secret door opens and a troll steps out into the darkness.

The pcs wait until several trolls exit on to the cliff ramp and then they attack. The pcs soon realize they have bit off more than they can chew. The troll leap off the ledge and attack the pcs from the flank trusting to their regeneration to heal the falling damage. Soon the pcs are nearly surrounded and are forced to flee before they were trapped. Glade turned into a small snake and hid in cluster of bushes. Gregor allowed himself to be surrounded to distract the trolls and they he used his misty step spell to teleport away.

The pcs organize an expedition against the trolls and then travel 3 days before they locate a troll trail. Then with one day of searching they find the entrance to the troll lair and stake it out.

After a lengthy discussion Queen Arsinoe grants the temple of Razmir to Glade and the faith of Gozreh. Eric is made a knight of the realm and is named "Queen's Champion". This entitles him to the use of the royal armorer without payment. However he must pay for materials. The pcs also decide that of the two threats left to Solvania, the trolls and the lizardmen, the trolls are the more immediate threat.

The pcs thoroughly search the temple and the only valuables found are the large heavy silk curtains.

Finally there is a torrential thunderstorm and the pcs order the eviction. Declin slips the bar on the double doors and a battle ensues. Eric and Gregor charge in an lay about them with their weapons. A wizard and a cult berserker briefly endanger Gregor but are slain. Eric is briefly outnumbered and sorely pressed by cultists but Declin swept in an turned the tide. The cultists fought to the last man but the skeleton crew left behind was really no match for the pcs even without the 8 archers. The temple was most empty of staff and valuables and apparently the pcs fought only the suicide squad.

The pcs decide to wait for a rainy day to evict the Razmir priests to reduce the risk that the wooden church will burn down during any possible battle.
