4760 Abadius 14th Illmarsh, Ustalav (Eric armor day 95/100)
The pcs decide to hunt the "Watcher in the Wake". The pcs take the inventor's boat to the Tarn Rock. Glade summons 4 sharks and swims to the bottom of the tarn rock in shark form. When the 5 sharks reached the bottom of the lake the Watcher attacked.
The sharks attacked the watcher but caused only superficial wounds. The Watcher retaliated by dominating one of the sharks. Shark-Glade and his three sharks fled to the surface followed by the Watcher and his shark.
Glade and his pet sharks sped across the surface to the ship with the Watcher and his pet following. When the Watcher passed close to the ship it was pierced through by a lance each from Erick and Gregor. When the watcher attempted to pass under the boat Gregor and Erick pulled him to the surface. The Watcher managed to get only a single tentacle slap at Glade before it was skewered by the pcs and the three sharks.

The pcs spend this day waiting for the lances to be finished.

4760 Abadius 12th Illmarsh, Ustalav (Eric armor day 93/100
The pcs talk to various villagers of Illmarsh. They discover a number of interesting facts, the foremost of which is the existence of the Undiomede House. The pcs decided to travel to Undiomede House rather than swim up the tunnel. The pcs follow an old overgrown road that leads to the dilapidated mansion. After some searching the pcs figure out that Undiomede House is built up on a circle of menhirs or standing stones. In the main entry chamber, which is also the center of the menhirs, the pcs encounter a great female marsh giant wielding a mast.
Despite her size and strength the pcs overwhelm Yib Thoolp and she dies upon the Kellid sacrificial altar.
Eventually Gregor enters a room with giant ticks and he is attacked. However the ticks are slain before they can get past Gregor's armor. After some more searching the pcs find a trio of Dagon priests.
After a short battle the priests are defeated and one is taken prisoner and questioned. The pcs find out that the high priest of Dagon Albor is infected with something called a "moit". As the pcs were winding down the questioning of the prisoner, the voice of Albor Voltiaro drifted down to them from the chimney. Albor admitted to his infection with a "moit" and his impending demise. He asked the pcs to let him leave and travel to the "neighbors" unopposed. Instead the pcs slowly worked their way up the left staircase avoiding all but one ice glyph. As the pcs led by Gregor enter Albor's room, Albor exits and runs for the hole to the menhir room.
Both Glade and Linkles try eventually try to enter the room and both take massive radiant damage and refuse to continue. Albor leaps out the hole and heads to the menhir with the permanent phase portal. Erick leaps over the balcony railing in hot pursuit but twists his ankle and goes berserk. Albor casts barrier blade on Erick's position and then places the deep one amulet in the corresponding recessed area in the menhir. The menhir becomes a unique phase portal and Albor steps through is instantly elsewhere. Eric runs up the left staircase exploding multiple ice glyphs to melee Linkles. The pcs turn on him and Erick quickly drops. Gregor grabs his sword Ovinrbaane and he and Glade put it in the portable hole. Gregor and Rigby search the upper level alone due the forbiddance spell and Erick's injuries. The human and Halfling find the library. When Gregor pulls out the only undamaged book two spectres attack the duo.
The two spectres are no match for the undead smashing power of Gregor backed up by Rigby. The book is the dangerous unholy Dark Tapestry "The Book of Abstruse Geometries" and Gregor and Glade decide to feed the book to their pet bag of devouring. Then the pcs decide to destroy the phase gate standing stone. Linkles and Erick succeed with acid orb. Then Glade uses his flame blade to first destroy the altar and the hidden moits and then enough of the menhirs to make Undiomede House collapse. The pcs then return to Illmarsh and Glade shapeshifts to catfish form and explores the tunnel. A little over an hour later Glade discovers that the underwater tunnel leads to "deep one" guards.
The pcs decide to take a long rest with their friend and inventor.

4760 Abadius 11th Illmarsh, Ustalav (Eric armor day 92/100)
The pcs spot an old man trying, and failing, to sail a large boat on his own. Gregor decides to intervene to prevent the ship from ramming the wharf. Gregor teleported to the old man's ship and muscled the sail around. The ship crashed into the sand instead of the wharf. Gregor, and quickly thereafter the other pcs, were soon introduced to the inventor Horace Croon. Horace seemed a little confused but he showed the pcs his experiment submersible and admitted that he was a member of the Pathfinder society.

Horace Croon invited the pcs to his house for lunch. On the way the pcs met a madwoman by the name of Serena (for the 2nd time). The pcs decide to head to the local temple of Gozreh, The Recondite Order of the Indomitable Sea, to have Serena's madness cured. At the small temple of Gozreh, known as Hall of the Recondite Order of the Indomitable Sea, the pcs are told to go away. However Erick will not take no for an answer and he bangs the door until the priests let him in with Serena. The rest of the pcs continue on to Horace's for lunch.
The under priests slowly guide Erick deep into the temple. When the priests open the last door they attack. Behind the last door is a chuul from the Dark Tapestry.
Before Erick can be pushed into the last room, he dropped Serena and ran. The chuul was bound to the room and could neither escape nor reach out of the room, sadly for Serena in panic she kicked at the creature allowing her leg to be grabbed. Erick was still prevented from escaping the temple and surrounded by nine under priests. A long battle ensued wherein Erick hacked at the priests when he wasn't paralyzed by hold person spells.
Fortunately for Eric, his heavy armor was able to prevent most serious damage from the priests' ceremonial daggers. Just as the battle was winding down, in Erick's favor, the pcs appeared and ganged up on the few surviving priests. Then one of the vicar priests awoke and joined the battle. The combined might of the pcs quickly overwhelm the priests. After killing the last priest the pcs begin searching the temple for treasure.
As the pcs loot the temple the screams of pain and sounds of combat attracts the attention of the villagers of Illmarsh. Neighboring villagers send their children to summon those farther away and eventually a small mob forms. Then Gregor looked out the window and while he couldn't see the mob he could hear it. The pcs ducked into the hidden back room and after a brief discussion Rigby decided that he would use an illusion to pretend to be a priest. However even with the illusion he was about a foot too short. Furthermore their were other priests' corpses nearby including the corpse of the priest he was disguised as. Rigby slammed the broken door and sprinted for the secret room. Once Rigby was inside the pcs simply remained silent. The villagers piled into the temple but could not discern where the Rigby-priest went.
The villagers mistakenly take think that the priests were slain by a doppelganger. After some time the villagers figured out the outside of the temple was bigger than the inside but were unable to locate the secret room much less the way in. The pcs created a false earthquake and the villagers gave up their search and ran away in fear. The villagers did pull out the dead priests with a grappling hook but then left leaving only two men on guard, one per entrance.
The pcs wait a few hours during which they debate Glade's idea of using the water breathing spell to swim up the underground tunnel. At first they decide to give Glade's idea a try but then after checking the water temperature they decide against it. Instead Glade and Rigby sneak outside and trick the guards into helping them by taking them to Mayor Early Greedle. This both gets them out of them out the temple and gave them additional information about the goings on in Illmarsh. Eventually the pcs head back to Horace Croon's house and rest for the night.

4760 Abadius 9th-11th Caliphas, Ustalav (Eric armor day 92/100)
The pcs locate the boat Andrian hired to ferry him between Caliphas and Illmarsh. The pcs arrive in Illmarsh late morning of the 11th.

4760 Abadius 9th Caliphas, Ustalav (Eric armor day 90/100)
The pcs enter a park in Caliphas under cover of darkness a few hours before midnight. After some searching the pcs enter the greenhouse. The pcs encounter a female vampire spawn that runs up the ceiling of the greenhouse.
Declin makes a perfect throw and sends a stake straight through her heart. Then the pcs are attacked by a carnivorous plant but they quickly chop it to pieces. Near the evil plant is a grate that leads to the sewer and presumably the vampire underground.
At the sewer grate the pcs are joined by two members of Andvion Adrissant's splinter cell of the Esoteric Order of the Palentine Eye. The newly formed group dropped through the grate and began to search the sewers. The pcs destroyed a number of zombies in coffins as well as a number of rat and vampire swarms. Eventually they found a quartet of vampires in a side room. Gregor through one of the exploding sun motes and drove them off severely wounded. After a brief period of wanAdering the pcs found the way into the room with the four wounded vampire minions. Another sun mote was thrown and the vampires were quickly overwhelmed.
After a few twists and turns the pcs found their way to the lair of the vampire lord Luvick Siervage. At Luvik's feat was Kendra Lorriomor turned to a vampire minion and Alpon Caromarc turned to a revenant due to his death at Gregor's hand.
Luvik tried to parley with the pcs but before he could get more than a sentence out Andrian threw his dagger severely wounded the vampire. Declin threw a sun mote into the room and the pcs charged in. Luvik cast a misty step and then a wall of force to give him time to heal. Meanwhile the pcs ganged up on Caromarc and Kendra and quickly put them down. The bat swarms managed to kill Andivion's two vampire hunters. With astonishing courage, Gregor used his own misty step spell to teleport on Luvik's side of the wall and attacked. Luvik attempted to fight back but he was still badly wounded and Gregor's attack caught him off guard. In a moment the vampire lord was decapitated.
With the death of Luvick the vampire lord, the vampire spawn became free willed and used their improved powers to turn into mist to escape into the dark corners of Ustalav. The pcs take a couple of hours to search the vampire sewer annex for treasure. They pcs only found a few vials filled with a blood red fluid. When the pcs exit the sewers the run into Andivion Adrissant. Andivion convinces Blackjack/Andrian and Declin to join him in hunting down the newly freed vampire spawn before they can feed and eventually become vampire lords in their own right. In return Andivion asks the pcs to investigate what the Whispering Way was doing in Illmarsh. The pcs head to the wharf to find Andrion's ship.

The pcs arrive in Caliphas and Andivion introduces the pcs to his operative in Caliphas, Quinley Basdel. Andivion gives each pc 2 daylight bombs.
The pcs spend the rest of the day resting and preparing to attack the vampire underground.
