4759 Calistril 11th Ravengro, Canterwall county in Ustalav

The pcs rise early and find that a Varisian "O" rune was inscribed on the memorial statue.
Gregor went to fetch Father Grimburrow and he agrees but he has no memory of the previous day and Gregor is forced to repeat the request for aid a second time.

The party enters Harrowstone yet again and heads almost directly upstairs to confront the Piper of Ilmarsh. The party is quickly surrounded 10 shadow-stirges as well as the Piper. The situation looks dire but Father Grimburrow used the Pharasma amulet from Father Charlatan's necklace bundle and destroys all but one of the shadow-stirges which is quickly put down. The pcs gang up on the piper and he is quickly destroyed. After destroying some skeletons in prison cells the pcs the pcs open the door to Father Charlatan's cell. The pcs quickly almost destroy Father Charlatan but he flees through the wall and possesses Father Grimburrow.

 

 

 Grimburrow/Charlatan attempts to flee but is trapped and beaten unconscious by the pcs. The Gregor and the rest of the pcs then took Grimburrow/Charlatan back to the Pharasma temple and was seen by many of the citizens of Ravengro. A rumor that he was dead started to spread. After a lengthy discussion and a turning which included all of Father Grimburrow's acolytes the pcs give up and allow Grimburrow/Charlatan to accompany them in Harrowstone. Grimburrow/Charlatan suggests that he use the temple funds to purchase a ring of featherfalling and the pcs agree. On the way to Harrowstone Grimburrow/Charlatan and the pcs head to the money lender/pawn shop the Silk Purse run by Luramin Taigh and Quess Yearburn and he buys the feather fall ring using the temple treasury for 5,000gp. The pcs, without Grimburrow/Charlatan, parley with Vesorianna and learn much about Harrowstone.

 

The

 pcs then head to the elevator and feather fall in turns down the "shaft". After leaving the collapsed elevator shaft cavern the pcs are attacked by four more shadow prisoners.

At that point Father Charlatan shouts a warning to the Splatterman and is thereby ejected from Father Grimburrow's body who flees towards the Splatterman. Three of the shadows attack Father Grimburrow and weaken him with their death touch. A powerful magic missile spell from the Splatterman overkilled poor Father Grimburrow. 

Kendra drops the Splatterman's spellbook and hits the Splatterman with a magic missile spell. The Splatterman retreats and begins casting a series of defensive spells. Hadhod recovers the spellbook. Gregor summons Chloros and attempts to melee him but is stymied by a rusty portcullis. The remaining shadow prisoners attack Kendra but are destroyed by the pcs. The pcs attempt to escape but the Splatterman uses dimension door to teleport to the 1st floor and he "cuts" the pcs' rope which falls into the underground pond. As the pcs begin to respond to the idea of being trapped underground by with the Splatterman, the ghost's blink spell misfires and it traps him in the ethereal plane for 9 hours. Once the pcs figure out that the Splatterman has disappeared, Glade shapechanges into a bat and flies to the first floor in order to get a rope down the elevator shaft. The pcs retreat to Vesorannia and rest there. 

4759 Calistril 10th Ravengro, Canterwall county in Ustalav

The pcs decide to stake out the Harrowstone Memorial statue for the night but only a small squad of skeletons appears and they are quickly dispatched. At sunrise the Varisian rune for "S" appears on the town hall door. And the wind slowly picks up and a light snowfall begins.

The pcs head back to Kendra's and rest 8 hours so that Glade can get his spells back. In the afternoon the Gregor talks Father Grimburrow into helping them investigate Harrowstone. The party now includes the pcs plus Kendra and Father Grimburrow. Most of the party stays at the gate to the grounds and Hadhod and Father Grimburrow explore. They find that all the towers are infested with rats. The small manor house is near collapse and the east side of the prison has collapsed. Hadhod and Grimborrow climbed the stairs to the west balcony and defeated an animated executioner's scythe. 

 

After multiple attempts Hadhod climbs to the top of the east side only to be strangled by a living vine.

The vine was destroyed thanks to Grimburrow's holy white fire. Then Hadhod took a few steps into the 2nd floor but retreated when he heard eerie flute music. Then they retreated and rejoined the party. The full group began searching the first floor. They easily destroyed an enemy spirit. Then using cold magic they destroyed the haunt in the furnace. Then they found the guard training room that used to contain the elevator to the basement level. Glade accidently knocked a skull down the elevator "shaft" and 7 shadows attacked the party. A TPK seemed in the offing.
 

Lauren was killed with one death touch from a shadow and could not be saved. Kendra was severely wounded and fled in terror with a shadow in pursuit. Then Father Grimburrow turned undead and destroyed 6 of the 7 shadows. The final shadow was quickly put to rest. The pcs then found a room where prisoner possessions where kept. They also found the secret door to the magical items used by the 5 notorious prisons. There was a great axe for the Lopper, a spellbook for the Splatterman, a maul for the Mosswater Marauder, a bundle of holy symbol amulets for Father Charlatan, and a silver flute for the Piper of Ilmarsh. The pcs ran through a room with a cold haunt and then returned and dispelled the cold haunt with fire. Then the pcs decided to leave and rest and more importantly burry their dead. On the way to the temple a number of villagers see the pcs carrying Lauren's corpse. As the pcs near the temple a shadow came out of Lauren's body and attacked the party but it was quickly destroyed in the failing light.

 

4759 Calistril 9th Ravengro, Canterwall county in Ustalav

Once again there is a disturbance in the morning and once again a bloody rune is written on the statue's base. This time is the rune for "E". The pcs quickly return to their research and this time they discover a number of critical facts. There were 5 dangerous serial killers imprisoned at Harrowstone at the time of the riot and resulting fire; the Splatterman, the Piper of Illmarsh, the Mosswater Maurader, Father Charlatan, and the Lopper. The pcs uncovered a great deal of information about the Splatterman and Father Charlatan but very little about the others.

Just prior to sunset the pcs quickly explore the grounds of Harrowstone Prison. They locate the ritual runes and Kendra tells the pcs that the ritual was abjuration and necromancy magic meant to weaken the ghost of Warden Hawkran for some unknown reason.

4759 Calistril 8th Ravengro, Canterwall county in Ustalav

The pcs and Kendra are woken by a disturbance. Many citizens of Ravengro are heading to the Harrowstone Memorial statue. There written in blood is the Varisian rune for "V".



A short while later the pcs led by Gregor go to Councilman Vashian's mansion to get permission to search the town hall archives. Vashian agreed but only as long as he came along as well. Little of use was found that day.

4759 Calistril 7th Ravengro, Canterwall county in Ustalav

Kendra and the pcs get up at sunrise and prepare for the funeral. Professor Petros Lorrimor's body is taken by cart to the southeastern entrance of the Restlands and from there Kendra, Gregor, Hadhod, and Glade are the pallbearers through the Restlands. Only a handful of Ravengro citizens attend the funeral. There is a mob awaiting the procession at the intersection of the Dreamwake and Eversleep.

 A retired soldier and local drunk named Gibs Hephenus tells the party that they will not allow Professor Lorrimor to be buried in the Restlands. Gregor uses his divine power to create a booming voice that shames the mob and they disperse.

 

 

 

The pcs return to Lorrimor mansion for the reading of the will.

 

Kendra used the key that fell out of the will to open a wooden chest. Meanwhile Hadhod noticed the remains of a burned book in the Professor's bedroom fireplace.

 

 

 

As the pcs peruse the remains of Professor Lorrimor's journal Kendra opens the chest and is very upset to find a number of books that are all but illegal to own.

On Verified Madness: This sickly green book is a treatise on aberrations and other entities found on Golarion that possess remote ties to the Dark Tapestry, the name given to the dark places between the stars in the night sky. Serving Your Hunger: This text is a copy of one of several unholy books sacred to the goddess Urgathoa. Umbral Leaves: This lexicon is a translation into Common of the unholy book of Zon-Kuthon. Lorrimor’s notations liberally sprinkle the margins. The Manual of the Order of the Palatine Eye: This book has a note indicating it should be delivered to Embreth Daramid, a judge at the Lepidstadt Courthouse.

Just prior to nightfall Hadhod and Gregor go to see the female dwarf smith Jorfa to discuss armor and weapons.

 

 

 
 

4759 Calistril 6th Ravengro, Canterwall county in Ustalav

The pcs arrive at Professor Petros Lorrimor's home just before sunset. Kendra Lorrimor is talking to Adivion Adrissant, Gregor's trueborn half-brother. Apparently Adivion meant to leave before Gregor showed up. Adivion spoke with Gregor briefly and gave him the last suit of armor on display at Adrissant manor, reluctantly it seems. Adivion quickly left. After a brief conversation Kendra gives Gregor his copy of her father's will and tells him that the funeral can now take place tomorrow, if Gregor and some of the pcs will serve as pallbearers. The official reading of the will can take place after the funeral. The pcs are offered free room and board at the small Lorrimor mansion as long as they are in Ravengro. Kendra retires to her room followed shortly by the pcs. Gregor sits vigil over Professor Lorrimor's body over night as per Pharasman custom.

 

4759 Calistril 5th the county of Canterwall in Ustalav

Glade, Gregor, and Loren all had an identical nightmare simultaneously. A royally garbed skeleton encased in blazing purple energy attacked the camp and killed Loren and Gregor but the creature was in turn slain by Hadhod and Glade. Hadhod never had this dream as he was on watch. Loren and Gregor only remember the dream up to the point where they died and woke up. Only Glade witnessed the victory of the surviving party members. After the battle Gregor told his friends that he thought the skeleton might have been the supposedly invincible lich Tar-Baphon.

4759 Calistril 2nd-4th the Ardeal county of Ustalav

The pcs follow an overgrown footpath but despite a feeling of unease they are not attacked.

4759 Calistril 1st the Furrows in Ustalav

While skirting the edge of the cursed Furrows area the pcs are attacked by a huge contingent of 43 skeleton soldiers. At first the pcs were in a near panic but Hadhod wanted to stand and fight so Gregor rode to the front of skeleton column. It seemed a hopeless last stand until Glade casted a spike growth spell. Oblivious to the danger the majority of the stupid skeletons walked into the spell and were destroyed. The few that were left were cut down with some effort and the only casualty was Hadhod's mount.

4759 Abadius 18th-31st the Northern Riverlands just past the border of Ustalav to Carrion Hill

A reduced group of pcs consisting of Gregor, Glade, Hadhod, and Lauren travel towards Ustalav. Early on in the trip the party attempt to shelter in a cave held by a cave bear. Hadhod is nearly slain a number of times before the bear is brought down. A few days later Glade achieves a solo kill against a toad by forcing it to flee and keeps all the xp for himself.

4759 Abadius 17th the Greenbelt in the Stolen Lands in the Northern Riverlands

The PCs organized an expedition to accompany Gregor Fog to Raverngro in Ustlav.

4758 Lamashan 4th to 4759 Abadius 16th the Greenbelt in the Stolen Lands in the Northern Riverlands

Duchess Solvanna consolidated her hold on the Greenbelt. The swordlords of Brevoy slowly began sending colonists and materials to develop and civilize the Greenbelt. Solvanna began building a town. On the 16th of Abadius Gregor received a note from Kendra Lorrimor indicating that her beloved father, Professor Petros Lorrimor was dead. The noted begged Gregor to return to the Ravengro with all haste.

4758 Lamashan 4th the Greenbelt in the Stolen Lands in the Northern Riverlands

The pcs returned to ruins and dug out the trapdoor. Glade used wind magic to clear out the air. Then the pcs looted the Staglord's treasure and returned to Oleg's.

4758 Lamashan 3rd the Greenbelt in the Stolen Lands in the Northern Riverlands

The assault force began to move in on the Staglord's fortress just after midnight. The party of goblins got lost and were eaten by the zombies. Glade and Hadhod stumbled into a zombie landmine and crushed it. After much frustrated discussion the assault group decided to use Gregor as a zombie mine sweeper and they made a beeline for the fortress. Once there Hadhod climbed the palisade quietly and lifted the gate bar and set the bar and then door down quietly.

The assault force's slingers, archers, and crossbowman began firing on the guards while Hadhad, Ulfgar, and Gregor began attacking the bandits in the tents. Glade use a flaming sphere to burn down the gate to the owlbear's cage.

 Chaos reigned and the assault force destroyed most of the bandits before they could organize. Gregor killed Auchs and Devon in single combat.

Lauren crept up on the Staglord and attacked him with wand and sword. Before the Staglord could crush Lauren the other pcs finally arrived and ganged up on the Staglord. Drunk as he was he never managed to hit a single pc. Eventually he slain by a rapier thrust through the back by Lauren.

The castle was close to fully engulfed in flame by then and most of the pcs retreated. Glade stayed long enough to save the owlbear. Lauren stayed long enough to kill a nearly dead Arrikos and he pocketed the choicest items from the Staglord's personal horde.
Then the pcs waited for morning and then investigated the ruins. The coals were still too hot to be safe so they decided to wait a day and try again.

4758 Lamashan 2nd the Greenbelt in the Stolen Lands in the Northern Riverlands

The pcs with their soldiers and goblin and kobold allies march to the forest under cover of darkness and rest and hide during the day. After nightfall they begin to organize their attack on the Staglord's fortress.

4758 Rova 26th to Lamashan 1st the Greenbelt in the Stolen Lands in the Northern Riverlands

The raiding party travels first to the Sootscale kobolds. The kobolds agree to send five archers on the raid against the Staglord's fortress but only if a like number of goblins join the expedition. Hadhod and Glade went to negotiate with the Soretoe goblins and five goblin archers join the expedition. The large group wends its way to the edge of the forest and follows that to the river trail and then they follow the river trail until they are a 20 minute walk to the Staglord's fortress. The raiding party is hiding in the bushes and tall grass near the river. Just after night falls Glade shifts to bat form and scouts the fortress a second time as an ethereal bat. He returns before midnight and tells the party about the underground level.

The pcs decide to retreat back to the treeline in order to allow Glade to rest and recharge his shapechange.

4758 Rova 23rd-25th the Greenbelt in the Stolen Lands in the Northern Riverlands

The pcs meet a half elven adventurer name Loren. After demonstrating his skills to Hadhod he was recruited to the party. Hadhod traveled the short distance to Bokken and gave him the tazeltworm head in trade for 600gp worth of potions. The soldiers from Brevoy were asked to join the punitive expedition against the Staglord's fortress. Gear was organized and food was purchased.

4758 Rova 20th-22nd the Greenbelt in the Stolen Lands in the Northern Riverlands

The pcs travel back to Oleg's. Just as they came in sight of the inn fortress a firepelt puma attacked the dwarven brothers. Ulfgar and the firepelt traded maulings but a hammer blow from Hadhod sent it fleeing.

4758 Rova 18th-19th the Greenbelt in the Stolen Lands in the Northern Riverlands

While exploring in the south the pcs finally discovered the bandit castle of the mighty Staglord. Glade used his ethereal potion to fully scout out the fortress. Glade even went into the Staglord's own bedroom. Glade returned and reported what he found to the other pcs.

4758 Rova 14th-17 the Greenbelt in the Stolen Lands in the Northern Riverlands

Because Hadhod decides to attempted to tame the huge dire wolf the pcs split up. Princess Solvanna and Gregor traveled on horseback to Oleg's while Hadhad and his brother remain to saddle break the dire wolf. Needless to say it was largely unsuccessful. However a speak with animals spell cast by reveals that there is a litter nearby. There followed a confusing negotiation in the wolf language. The she-wolf confused riding with mating because the idea of being a mount was foreign to these creatures. The she-wolf was willing to give up the runt of her litter to Hadhod whom she assumed planned to eat it.

4758 Rova 13th to 17th the Greenbelt in the Stolen Lands in the Northern Riverlands

As the pcs were traveling through the forest they were set upon by a pair of dire wolves. Hadhod was very nearly slain but once the large male was slain the female was quickly over powered.

4758 Rova 12th the Greenbelt in the Stolen Lands in the Northern Riverlands

The pcs are attacked by the fabled mighty boar Tuskgutter. The huge pig puts up a great fight but is overwhelmed by the swarming pcs.

The pcs continue to travel and explore the Green Belt.

The pcs travel back to Oleg's for the tazzleworm brain reward.

The pcs were attacked by three tazzleworms and put them down quickly to avoid their poisonous tentacles.

4758 Arodus 29th to Rova 1st the Greenbelt in the Stolen Lands in the Northern Riverlands

The pcs continue to travel and explore in the Green Belt.

4758 Arodus 20th-29th the Greenbelt in the Stolen Lands in the Northern Riverlands

The pcs take Jhod to the Temple of the Elk. Then they continue to travel and explore. On the 27th the come upon a holy statue of Erastil not far from the temple. The statue has powerful priestly magics associated with it and repels animals. On the 28th they tell about the statue and take him there.

4758 Arodus 18th-19th the Greenbelt in the Stolen Lands in the Northern Riverlands

While taking the long way back to the Temple of the Elk the pcs discovered a barrow. Gregor noticed that the athame of Pharasma that sealed the tomb was glowing indicating undead. The pcs entered and made short work of the wight within.

4758 Arodus 17th the Greenbelt in the Stolen Lands in the Northern Riverlands

The pcs return to Oleg's to inform Jhod Kavken that the lost temple to Erastil is now found.

4758 Arodus 12th-14th the Greenbelt in the Stolen Lands in the Northern Riverlands

The pcs discover a trapper dead under his own deadfall. Upon examination Glade realizes that the teeth marks on the rope had to be from a fairy dragon, implicating Perlivash. Gregor figures out the same by questioning Glade.

4758 Arodus 10th-11th the Greenbelt in the Stolen Lands in the Northern Riverlands

The pcs find a hot springs pond and Gregor puts his hand in the water. Two giant frog attack Gregor and one used its tongue to grab him and drag him into the the deep water. The frog that stayed near the shore was quickly killed but the other frog was difficult to target in the deep steamy water. Just as Gregor at the water closed over Gregor's head the frog was slain.

4758 Arodus 8th-9th the Greenbelt in the Stolen Lands in the Northern Riverlands

The pcs find the Temple of the Elk and explore it. As the near the cave a great brown bear attacks them and eviscerates Gregor's horse. The bear is quickly slain and Gregor manages to heal his dying steed. As the bear dies it turns into a human and then rapidly ages and turns to dust.

4758 Arodus 5th-7th the Greenbelt in the Stolen Lands in the Northern Riverlands

The pcs continue to explore and somewhere along the way a female grick by the name of Tyg-Titter-Tut attempts to steal from them unsuccessfully. To make peace Gregor gave Tyg the rest of his wine and befriended her. Then Tyg called her friend Perlivash the fairy dragon but Gregor has no wine left to give him. In a fit of pique Perlivash breathed his breath of intoxication into Gregor's face and Gregor swatted him like a bug. Glade healed the unconscious Perlivash returning him to consciousness. Both fey are quite angry at the pcs. Perlivash then steals a small stone carving of a horse from Gregor. Then Gregor mentions he will bring wine and trinkets the next time he passes through and the little fey leave the pcs in peace.

4758 Arodus 4th Oleg's Trading Post northern Riverlands

The pcs return briefly to Oleg's to resupply and find that the soldiers promised by Brevoy have arrived under the command of Sergeant Kesten Garess. Also a priest of Erastil, Jhod Kavken asks the pcs to assist him in his quest for a lost temple of Erastil and that if they find it he will help them and heal them on future missions. He has a mysterious past that he does not wish to discuss.

4758 Erastus 31st-Arodus 3rd the Greenbelt in the Stolen Lands in the Northern Riverlands

The pcs headed to Bokken and gave him the fangberries while they were still fresh. Bokken kept talking about his brother who apparently killed his mother and he appears to be mentally unbalanced. The pcs purchased a number of healing potions and Glade purchased one oil of etherealness potion.

4758 Erastus 30th the Greenbelt in the Stolen Lands in the Northern Riverlands

The pcs find a fangberry patch while exploring. Glade enters the briar thicket to pick fangberries but is attacked by a giant spider. The spider is quickly dispatched by the dwarven brothers. Then Glade returns to the thicket and picks a half bushel for Bokken as per the poster at Oleg's.

4758 Erastus 27th-29 the Greenbelt in the Stolen Lands in the Northern Riverlands

The pcs explore to the bandit camp and back down to finish the hex without using the rickety bridge.

4758 Erastus 26th the Greenbelt in the Stolen Lands in the Northern Riverlands

The pcs find a rickety bridge while exploring but decide not to cross due to the size and weight of Gregor's horse.

4758 Erastus 25th the Greenbelt in the Stolen Lands in the Northern Riverlands

The pcs explore back to the gold "mine" location.

4758 Erastus 24th the Greenbelt in the Stolen Lands in the Northern Riverlands

The goblin Tika takes the pcs to his tribe's warren under a large tree. Glade and Ulfgar climb down and attempt to negotiate with two goblins they find there. After waiting about five minutes they decided that goblins are mounting an attack and flee the goblin warrens. When the goblins attempt to pursue Hadhod and Ulfgar slaughter 3 of them as the attempt to exit their warren.
