4759 Gozran 9th Desnus to Sarenith 18th

The pcs and Kendra travel back to the Riverlands. They meet with the newly renamed Queen Arsinoe. She tells them of a number of threats to the new kingdom and asks for the pcs help.

With some lobbying from Glade the pcs decide to go after the Graul tribe of ogres.

4759 Gozran 2nd Desnus 8th Desnus

The pcs put the Lorrimor mansion in order for sale and Kendra gathers books and belongings to take with her to the Riverlands. The pcs meet a barbarian warrior named Eric that wants to learn fire magic.

Kendra promises to teach him a fire cantrip. Adivion Adrissant agrees to sell the Lorrimar mansion for 10% commission.

4759 Gozran 16th to Desnus 1st Ustalav

Now that Kendra has 10 fingers again the pcs and Kendra travel back to Ravengro.
While in Ravengro the pcs receive the following letter:

Dear Gregor Fog and company,
It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you of the demise of the poor creature that called itself “Wretch”. It seems that the unfortunate golem-thing met his fate in the flames despite your inspired effort otherwise. I was not present at any of the following events so please bear that in mind as I relate the relevant circumstances. The poor ignorant creature Wretch was spotted digging a grave in a small graveyard well west of Lepidistadt. When confronted by an angry mob of local farmers Wretch fled leaving behind a metal bound coffin-like device with eye slits. It soon became apparent there was a dead body inside. The villagers opened the device and inside they found a filthy corpse with a hideous wound in one eye. What was now becoming an angry mob located a magistrate to organize and sanction pursuit of the “Beast”.  A hunter among them followed Wretch’s trail to Schloss Caromarc. When confronted about the murder at the gate keep Wretch denied murdering his “father” but refused to give the name of the true culprit. Wretch retreated to the next keep and when confronted there retreated yet again. This time Wretch would retreat no further perhaps because the bridge was out. The villagers attacked wretch but were unable to harm him and so they set the 3rd keep on fire. The 3rd keep collapsed sooner than expected from the fire taking Wretch and a few of the villager still on the bridge with them. These are hard times where men do such things without understanding.

Sincerely,
Judge Embreth Daramid

poem in the scroll case- The Carrion Crown

The Carrion Crown

Upon the ashen pathways tread
Softly, as the whispered dead.
As mortal flesh doth rot and fail
To leech and maggot, ebbing frail.

Unhallowed words cannot be spoken,
With whispered oath, death lies broken.
Shed fear, shed life, shed pain, shed time,
Eternity seized shall soon be thine.

First spirit torn from Grave-Lady’s grasp
Be rent and sown as soured ash.
Soft the spiral song reverses,
Judgment lost, damnation surges.

Keeper of the damned’s soul take,
With packlord’s heart the beast shall wake
And flesh be wrought in disarray—
Stillborn cocoon, to blessed decay.

A hundred slain lie innocent,
Grind bone and marrow to cement.
Craft now a skull of splintered graves,
Unmake life, unmake the slave.

Where history churns dream to blister,
Necrophagous secrets whisper
Through chronicles of Raven’s tongue -
A legacy of fear unspun.

Blood spilt atop the Iron Thorn
Invokes that which cannot be born.
Arise the Tyrant now unbound,
Bearer of the Carrion Crown!
